In a shocking move, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has released the whole Judgment series on PC, specifically via Steam. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio made waves by revealing the remastered Like a Dragon Ishin, a Yakuza spin-off from 2014 that was rarely released in the west, during the State of Play, ahead of its own RGG Highest point.

The RGG Highest point was considerably greater for Yakuza fans. Alongside more of Ishin, it officially revealed Like a Dragon 8 where new protagonist Ichiban Kasuga will team up with Kiry Kazuma for a new RPG adventure, at present set for 2024. Fans don't have to wait up to that point for more Yakuza goodness, however, as 2023 will see the release of Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. This story will follow Kiryu, now Joryu, in a classic action-adventure title.

All of this is most likely exciting for fans, as they will eat great for the following several years. However, not long after the highest point finished, RGG apparently had one more major surprise, releasing a trailer for Judgment and Lost Judgment, revealing they are now available on PC via Steam. For anyone who hasn't scratched out this particular Yakuza spin-off, the narrative of Takayuki Yagami has been generally welcomed, even up there with Ichiban and Kiryu's story. Those looking to look at both Judgment games on Steam can also get a pack, including both base games, the School Stories expansion, and the Kaito Documents, all for $98.87 as indicated by Wario64.

Many fans have been hoping to see Judgment on PC someday, so this is a seriously decent surprise. After all, it hasn't always appeared to be promising. It was accounted for last year that Lost Judgment wasn't planning a PC release yet, thought it was considering it, and this also walked up some internal conflict. A few reports indicated that Lost Judgment may be the last game in the spin-off franchise because of contractual issues because of rules about actors' likenesses on certain platforms.

Specifically, actor Takuya Kimura's talent agency prevents all of its talent from appearing on PC titles, and so it's uncertain how/why this unfurled behind the scenes since then. Somehow, clearly, it was all ended up working and the games are now available on Steam. Fans ought to look out for more information about Judgment's future, as well as the whole franchise in general, in the coming months.
