Every equipable Item in Diablo 2 Resurrected is dependent on the Base Item version. During the Item Generation process, the sport first decides, which Base Item is dropped. The Quality (Normal, Magic, Rare, Crafted, Set, and Unique Item) is chosen after.
Qualities
Low-Quality Items
Labels: Cracked, Crude, Damaged, Low Quality
Low-Quality Armors have 75% reduced Defense and Weapons have 75% reduced Base Damage
The reduced value is rounded down. If Minimum Damage becomes <1, it's defaulted to at least one.
The Durability is reduced, by using this formula:
Durability = max(rounded down((Durability - 1) / 3), 1)
Can't be Ethereal.
Don't drop with Sockets, but Larzuk can also add Sockets.
Can be upgraded to some regular Armor or Weapon with Item Level = 1, using a Horadric Cube recipe.
Magic Items
Adds 1-2 Affixes towards the Base Item:
50% Chance to only give a Suffix.
25% Chance to only give a Prefix.
25% Chance to add both a Suffix and Prefix.
Prefix and Suffixes are added towards the name of the Item.
Certain Affixes are just available on Magic Items.
Rare Items
Except Jewels, which spawn with 3-4 Affixes, other Rare Items spawn with 3-6 Affixes.
There is an equal opportunity for an Affix to be considered a Suffix or Prefix, however, no more than 3 of every can spawn with an item.
The Name is randomly generated.
Crafted Items
Created from Magic Base Items in the Horadric Cube, Crafted Items have guaranteed Stats and add 1-4 Affixes in the pool of Affixes for Rare Items.
Set & Unique Items
If available, a Base Item can spawn like a higher quality version - Set Items or Unique Items.
